Uber Celebrates Its Drivers with the First-Ever Yearbook

Uber is recognizing its drivers in a new way by celebrating the standout workers behind the wheel in a unique format. This year, the company has launched its inaugural yearbook for drivers, which truly goes beyond mere ratings.

Uber Yearbook Highlights

The 2022 Uber Yearbook features 15 drivers from various locations across the United States. Each driver is presented with a personalized description that highlights what they are affectionately known for in their area. This initiative emphasizes Uber’s commitment to supporting its community of drivers and couriers.

“We know that the Uber magic only exists because of our drivers and couriers,” stated Carrol Chang, the global head of driver and courier operations at Uber. “With our first-ever Uber Yearbook, we’re taking a moment to highlight some of the most inspiring people in the Uber community.”

Noteworthy Drivers

Among the featured drivers, Justin Layton stands out with the “coolest car” in Sin City—a stunning Ferrari 458 Spider. Tanaye White has also gained attention for her transformation from courier to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Additionally, in Birmingham, Alabama, Charlana Moses is renowned for her impressive record, boasting over 60,000 Uber rides and affectionately known as ‘Mama C’ by local students.

Additionally, Barbra Watkins, at the age of 78 in San Jose, California, continues to shine as a driver while indulging in her love for horseback riding.

Delivery Heroes

In the realm of food deliveries, Debbie Baker in Miami takes the lead with the highest number of Champagne deliveries—her personal favorite is a bay breeze. Meanwhile, Azubuike Onwumere secures the title of the “most deliveries” overall in Washington, D.C., showcasing the diverse talents of Uber drivers.

Driver Requests

Uber enhances the rider experience by allowing travelers to request their favorite drivers and has also implemented features that enable riders to understand how customer ratings work. This transparency fosters a stronger connection between drivers and riders, ultimately enriching their shared experience.
