What Are the Rules for Return Travel to the UK from Switzerland?
As of 4 AM on Friday, 18 March 2022, the UK has abolished all Covid travel rules. Therefore, travellers returning from Switzerland do not have to:
- Test for Covid
- Quarantine upon arrival
- Complete any passenger locator forms
This applies to all travellers, regardless of their vaccination status, making travel to the UK much more straightforward.
Current Travel Rules for Switzerland
Switzerland has also eliminated its Covid travel restrictions, which were among the most stringent in Europe in late 2021. Since Monday, 2 May 2022, visitors to Switzerland are not required to:
- Show proof of vaccination
- Present a negative Covid test
- Complete a passenger locator form
The only travel document you will need is your passport. Ensure that your passport meets post-Brexit validity requirements and has at least three months’ validity left prior to your return to the UK.
