Summary
Overview of TWA Hotel
When the TWA Hotel opened in May 2019, layovers at John F. Kennedy International Airport became significantly more enjoyable. Regardless of your delay or layover duration, there’s little room for complaints when you’re lounging in the TWA Hotel’s rooftop pool that overlooks the bustling airport.
One of the most appealing aspects is that you don’t need to be an overnight guest to take advantage of this unique JFK experience—provided you’re willing to cover the associated costs.
Rooftop Pool Experience
The rooftop pool and observation deck are accessible throughout the year. Guests can dive in for a refreshing experience that ranges from $25 to $50 for adults, depending on both timing and payment method.
Pricing Details
According to the hotel’s website, during the winter and spring months (November 1 through May 25), adults pay a $25 cover charge. Overnight guests can enjoy free access to the pool. Conversely, during the summer and fall season (May 26 through October 31), non-guests are billed $50, while hotel residents pay only $25. Pricing is specifically tailored for children ages 5-12, and those under 5 can access the area at no cost, regardless of the season.
Pool Bar Offerings
For summer and fall reservations, guests enjoy one hour and 45 minutes of pool access, while winter and spring reservations provide unlimited pool time. Included in the price are towels and dining seating at The Pool Bar; however, note that food and beverage costs are additional. The facility is available for private event bookings, so it is advisable to check the online schedule to confirm availability during your visit.
Observation Deck Features
The infinity pool, with a maximum heating capability of 95 degrees Fahrenheit, is open every day of the year. Moreover, the water features a self-purification system that activates every 30 minutes. Spanning an impressive 10,000 square feet, the observation deck offers breathtaking views of the airport’s Runway 4 Left/22 Right and the serene Jamaica Bay.
