Ultimate Adventure 2020: Road Trip Highlights
Day five of Ultimate Adventure 2020 kicked off bright and early after our last camping night, taking the group to explore the eerily fascinating abandoned mining equipment at the Missouri Mill site, which is tucked away in the remote stretches of Montana. The crew then set their sights on Yellowstone, the oldest national park in the United States.
Unforgettable Experiences in Yellowstone
Yellowstone lived up to its legendary reputation, showcasing stunning vistas and an abundance of geological wonders. One of the highlights included witnessing the iconic Old Faithful geyser erupting with remarkable punctuality. Additionally, participants enjoyed wildlife sightings that included moose, elk, buffalo, and even a small bear lurking just outside the park boundaries—demonstrating the park’s diverse ecosystem.
The Journey to Cody, Wyoming
We then headed east towards Cody, Wyoming, for much-needed refreshment and relaxation, although the journey was not without its challenges. Tiger “Gravity Feed” LeBraun, equipped with our Official Custom Driveshaft, experienced issues with his rockcrawling van, which sadly succumbed to semi-permanent neutral and required a tow to the nearest town.
Exploring the Wyoming Badlands
Day six promised more excitement, which included dust, dirt, and even some thrilling fossil exploration in the picturesque Wyoming badlands. Participants faced the reality of covering a long distance within a tight time frame during this final road day of UA 2020.
A Night at Mt. Rushmore
The road day, as is often the case, claimed its share of victims. Ian “I’m Hot Blooded, Check It and See” Johnson from Four Wheeler TV put his vehicle through its paces, almost overheating his transmission before arriving at the stunning Mt. Rushmore—albeit after dark.
