Grand Canyon Zip Line Adventure
Adventure seekers take note; this may be the ultimate new adrenaline-packed experience: a newly opened zip line that stretches across the Grand Canyon.
An Unforgettable Experience
There are two new zip lines that adventurers can hop on to travel across Grand Canyon West at speeds of up to 50 miles an hour. The lines are nearly 1000 feet above the canyon floor, offering an exhilarating experience.
Choose Your Adventure
The first line runs at approximately 1100 feet in length, while the second, much steeper zip line, is nearly double that in length with a steeper downhill projection. From this vantage point, you can take in stunning views of Quartermaster Canyon while propelling along. Each of the two routes offers four parallel lines, which means you can enjoy this thrill in a group or even try to race against friends.
Location and Amenities
The zip line is part of the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation, located on the Hualapai Reservation in Arizona. In a statement, the Corporation emphasized that the “zip line at Grand Canyon West gives our guests a unique adrenaline surge that will be one of the longest and most exciting zip lines found anywhere in the world.”
Additional Activities
The northern boundary of the reservation runs alongside the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. In addition to the zip line, visitors can stay overnight in camping lodges, take tours by jeep, boat, or helicopter, go horseback riding, or visit their skywalk that stretches out from the canyon 4000 feet above ground.
Visiting Information
The Grand Canyon zip line is open every Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, and advance ticket purchases are not necessary. Prices start at $89 per person, making it accessible for thrill-seekers of all ages.
