This diverse region boasts breathtaking landscapes. In the city of Gaza, there exists the stunning blue Mediterranean Sea, with its unique scent of sea plants and fish. Visitors can also enjoy numerous cafeterias and restaurants, heightened by the sounds of small businesses selling corn, sweets, and beverages, harmonized with melodies from local cafés.

My connection to Gaza runs deep; I call it my home. I see its beauty reflected in the spirit of its people. Having recently recovered from my fourth attack, I feel the damage but hold onto a vision of Gaza’s resilience and beauty returning. As a painter, I depict my reality, which is a blend of struggles alongside moments of vibrancy.
What Is Your All-Time Favourite Spot in Gaza?
During my time living abroad, my heart longed for Abu-Sou’ud Kunafa, a renowned spot in Gaza where the classic Middle Eastern dessert is crafted with a delightful twist of nuts, nutmeg, and cinnamon. I also yearn to visit the beach and cherish moments spent with my family there.

Among the many hidden gems in Palestine is the Orthodox Church, which boasts stunning paintings and lighting. Open to visitors during select times, this church was part of my school trip, allowing me to learn about the rich history of places of worship in Gaza.
