A landslide in Venezuela on Sunday has killed dozens of people, with many still missing in the north central state of Aragua, officials reported. This devastating event occurred in the Santos Michelena municipality after several days of heavy rainfall.
Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro tweeted on Sunday that he had ordered the “maximum deployment” of the interior ministry and security agencies to respond to this emergency situation. Additionally, he declared three days of national mourning starting from Sunday, highlighting the severity of the disaster.
