With the ongoing longing for travel, some individuals are taking unique steps to recreate the experience right at home. For instance, a woman made headlines after purchasing an inflatable plane and setting up a security checkpoint inside her house. Recently, a TikTok-famous dad has garnered attention by acquiring genuine Delta plane seats, aiming to bring the flying experience back into his daily life.

Annisa, the daughter of this creative dad, shared, “My dad frequently traveled for work, but since the pandemic began, he has been working remotely. Recently, he expressed his longing for travel and sent me an eBay link to buy Delta first-class seats, joking about it with a laughing emoji. Initially, I thought he was just kidding, but he soon sent me pictures of the seats in our living room.”

A Unique Purchase

Annisa noted that her father’s indulgent purchase surprised everyone in the family, especially since he rarely buys things for himself. “Though he has a playful side, I did not expect him to purchase airplane seats for our living room! What truly astonishes me is how my mom allowed it!” The airplane seats are fully functional, featuring reclining capabilities and a pull-out tray table, which Annisa confirmed has proven quite practical.

Sharing the Experience on TikTok

Feeling the joy of this light-hearted situation, Annisa took to TikTok to document her dad’s newfound hobby. In her first video, viewers can see him lounging in the seat with a blanket, watching an airline safety video and chuckling to himself. The video resonated well with the audience, prompting Annisa to create additional clips, one of which involved surprising her grandmother with a FaceTime call made to look like they were on an actual flight.

“The positive feedback we’ve received has been beyond my expectations!” she exclaimed. Notably, Ed Bastian, the CEO of Delta, reached out with a personalized video, expressing admiration and offering the family first-class seats in the future.
