Virgin Hotels Nashville: A New Gem in Music City
A piece of Sir Richard Branson now calls Music City home with the opening of Virgin Hotels Nashville.
The hotel – located off Nashville’s historic music row, the heart of the city’s recording industry – is the first new hotel to open in the city since COVID-19 lockdown restrictions began to lift. Virgin Hotels Nashville features 262 chambers (what Virgin Hotels calls rooms), plus new restaurants and bars, enhancing the already vibrant hospitality scene of one of America’s favorite destinations.
Experience the Unique Atmosphere of Nashville
“Anyone who has ever visited Nashville knows there’s something truly special about the city,” Virgin Hotels CEO Raul Leal shared. “The locals are warm and welcoming; it has a captivating atmosphere that doesn’t feel at all stuffy, and excitement can be found around every corner. With Virgin Hotels Nashville, we aimed to embody that same sensation you get when strolling around town.”
Rooms Designed for Comfort and Privacy
Rooms in the Nashville outpost of Virgin Hotels feature a unique layout that follows the brand’s signature style. They consist of two distinct and functional areas, “The Dressing Room” and “The Lounge,” which can be closed off with a sliding barn door. Although you might not have a Dolly Parton-worthy glam squad, you’ll feel like you could with the Dressing Room’s massive shower, vanity, and makeup desk. In the lounge, guests will find an adorable red SMEG mini-fridge, perfect for holding Tennessee whiskey, and an ergonomically designed bed fitted for a true country star.
Innovative Design Meets Health Safety
As far as social distancing is concerned, chambers at Virgin Hotels Nashville were prepared before the term was ever widely used. Leal noted, “The layout was inherently designed with consumer privacy in mind to support social distancing. A dividing door separating the ‘Dressing Room’ from the ‘Lounge’ ensures that guests never come in contact with teammates delivering room service or dropping off towels.”
Fans of the hotel brand will likely be familiar with Lucy, Virgin Hotels’ virtual assistant who can manage a variety of requests. In Nashville, an improved version of Lucy offers a completely “touchless” experience.
Dining and Entertainment Options
At The Pool Club, led by executive chef Patrick McEntyre, guests can relax at an indoor/outdoor bar on the 14th floor before diving into the pool accompanied by live music from a local DJ. The Funny Library Coffee Shop serves brews from Hugh Jackman’s Laughing Man Coffee alongside easy breakfast items. For an exclusive experience, Commons Club, Virgin Hotels’ flagship restaurant, will be the place for dinner or cocktails starting this fall.
A Hotel for All Nashvillians
Leal emphasizes that this hotel, along with its venues, is designed not just for tourists but also for Nashville locals. “The hotel was created as a destination where our Nashville neighbors will want to drop in for happy hour, work over coffee, or catch their favorite DJ at The Pool Club,” he mentioned.
Moreover, Tennessee residents are offered an enticing 35% off any stay. “We understand the challenges the city has faced in recent months, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome locals to relax, have fun, and reclaim their city,” Leal added.
Virgin Hotels Nashville is now open for guests and is following strict health and safety protocols.
