Britain bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, honoring the UK’s longest-reigning monarch with a state funeral steeped in tradition.
The Queen died earlier this month after ruling for seven decades. She was 96.
Monday’s funeral took place at Westminster Abbey in London, with presidents, prime ministers, and princes among the dignitaries paying their final respects.
Thousands of people also flocked to the streets along the 25-mile procession route from central London to Windsor, where the Queen was laid to rest within the grounds of Windsor Castle.
