Stunning Survey Reveals Many Young Americans Have Never Seen a Cow

Must-Do Experiences for Young Americans

A new study reveals some surprising truths about the experiences of Americans aged 11 to 24.

Checking Off the Bucket List

For numerous individuals, a significant life goal includes something as simple as seeing a cow for the very first time.

Survey Insights

Parked In Paradise, a lifestyle website focused on helping individuals live their best life on the road, recently conducted a survey of over 3,500 Americans aged 11 to 24. The results indicated that only 9% of participants are fully satisfied with their current “level” of life experience.

Reasons for Lack of Satisfaction

The survey highlighted several reasons for this dissatisfaction. Approximately 42% of Americans expressed that they have never traveled abroad, while 15% of young Americans reported never leaving their home state.

Unexpected Findings

Moreover, over half of young Americans (54%) admitted they have never experienced the simple joy of seeing a cow in real life. Astoundingly, this figure underscores a broader trend of lacking basic life experiences.

Other Notable Discoveries

  • 13% have never sent snail mail.
  • 19% have never cooked a meal from scratch.
  • 27% have never witnessed a sunrise.
  • 43% have never enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping or hiking.
  • 58% have never engaged in any DIY project.

The Value of Experience

Kate Moore, founder of Parked In Paradise, shared, “Every experience, no matter how big or small, is valuable and that shouldn’t be forgotten. Human nature makes us feel like we’re missing out on something, and if this guide can spark a little joy in someone’s life, that is nothing short of amazing.”

Inquiring into why these simple pleasures are often missed, 80% of respondents cited financial constraints, while 77% indicated a lack of time. However, many enriching activities, such as watching a sunrise, are free, and they can greatly enhance one’s quality of life. Furthermore, sending a postcard can cost less than $1.

Affordable DIY Projects

Additionally, engaging in DIY projects doesn’t have to strain your finances or take up too much time. Consider ordering DIY kits that allow you to create something unique in just a few minutes each day. When you feel ready, plan some vacation time and save up to visit New York state for a cow cuddling session at Mountain Horse Farm. This will undoubtedly be an experience you won’t regret.
