Experience the Thrilling Godzilla Zip-Line in Japan
As a consistently creative country, Japan boasts countless weird and wonderful attractions that are sure to excite visitors from any country. A theme park on Awaji Island in Hyōgo Prefecture has unveiled something extra special: a zip-line that takes visitors into the mouth of a gargantuan 20-metre-tall Godzilla.
The Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji
Unveiled this month, the Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji – National Awaji-Island Institute of Godzilla Disaster is located at Nijigen no Mori theme park, whose name translates to “two-dimensional forest.” According to the park, this attraction makes them the first place in the world to have a permanent full-size recreation of the infamous King of Monsters, carefully planned for over two years.
Exciting Activities and Experience
The experience includes a variety of engaging “missions” that guests can participate in on-site, comprising two zip-lines and a shooting game. The island also offers themed presents and souvenirs, thereby contributing to the revitalization of Awaji Island. Additionally, visitors can explore the world’s first Godzilla museum, featuring dioramas, displays, models, and engaging information. To complete the experience, guests can dine in the restaurant and try signature dishes like Godzilla curry and Godzilla burgers.
Interactive Attractions Around Awaji Island
Nijigen no Mori currently houses several interactive anime and manga-inspired experiences, with attractions available both during the day and at night. Some of the more popular offerings include the Naruto and Boruto Shinobi-Zato attraction, along with an exhibit dedicated to Shin Chan. A glamping area is also available for guests who wish to stay overnight.
